Research on High-Quality Development Efficiency and Total Factor Productivity of Regional Economies in China

Different from the developmental mode of western developed countries, China’s economy has changed a stage high-speed growth to high-quality development, where people’s growing needs for better lives can be met, embodying this new concept development. The aim our study is evaluate development efficiency and total factor productivity (TFP) regional economies in China, explore characteristics spatial-temporal pattern evolution their influencing factors. By using slacks-based measure directional distance functions (SBM-DDF) model, based on undesirable output perspective, TFP 2000 2018, are evaluated paper. exploratory spatial data analysis (ESDA) Tobit models then used identify correlation patterns factors TFP. key results show following: (1) 2001 greatest belonged eastern region least its central region. (2) U inverted-U trend lines that significant difference east–west direction, presenting feature imbalance. (3) Government, urbanization rate, marketization level play positive role impact TFP, whereas financial infrastructure, foreign direct investment, capital labor ratio negative one.
